4th of July

Joe, Stella and I went to Park City for the 4th of July. We had so much fun! It was great to get away and enjoy ourselves. We stayed at the Stein Erickson Lodge and loved it! Every time we walked into the lobby they would call us by name. "Good Evening Mr and Mrs Moss".

Here we are standing in front of the trophy case of Stein Erickson. He won many events at the 1950 Winter Olympics. We did not realize that Stein was an actual person.

Joe and Stell standing outside of our room.
Stell and Mama, in front of the trophy case again.
We went to dinner at the hotel. It was a buffet for the 4th of July. Joe said it was the most expensive hot dog he had ever eaten... he is funny!
Here are a sampling of the many desserts! They were SO good!
Peaches and Cream anyone?

Dada and his baby girl.
We went to the Deer Vally Music Festival that evening. The orchestra was there playing all patriotic music. When it came time for them to play the Armed Forces Salute they had all the family members stand during their particular song. I loved standing next to Joe while they played the Army Anthem. It gave me the chills listening to everyone cheer for him and the other soldiers.
Stella loved the music, and she loved to wave her flag. She was so good all night!
She fell asleep just as the final song played. We caught the shuttle back to the hotel and did not see the fireworks. downtown was packed and we did not feel like fighting the crowds to find a good seat to watch the fireworks, so we went back to the hotel to put Stell Bell to sleep.
The next day we got up and walked Main Street. Joe loves to walk through the art galleries. While we were walking we ran into a lady walking a lamma, its a house trained pet. She said its a mix between a cat and a dog. Sounds a little strange to me. She said its the best pet she has ever had. After Main Street we headed to the outlets to hit up a few stores before heading back home. It was so fun getting away, I hope we do it again soon!

Sounds like a great weekend! The Glitertind Sunday buffet is amazing, so I can only imagine how their dinner is.

And the llama is freaky.

I'm totally crashing your Park City party next year. We'll get the room next to you, and Stella and Valerie can take turns riding the pet llamas.

I'm not letting Valerie read your blog or the only thing I'll hear for the next five years is "Mama, can't I have a llama for my birthday?"

Looks like you had lots and lots of fun!!
