Popcorn

We have popcorn a few times a week. Joe was demonstrating to me how to listen for the popping sound. It shows a similar picture on the back of the box.... you got to make sure to have your hand cupped behind your ear to make sure not to miss a single popping sound.

Joe makes me laugh everyday... he's a shy guy at first but once he is comfortable he's full of all sorts of funnies!

Eye Doctor

Stella had her follow up eye doctors appointment for her clogged (well now unclogged) tear duct. Everything looks great. Her vision is great, she got to sit in a really cool chair.. and the best part for her was the Elmo sticker she got when we left!

Grocery Shopping

On Wednesdays my mom and Kaya come and pick Stella and me up to go grocery shopping.
Stella looks adorable in her pink stripes. Kaya kept telling Stella that she looked like a princess. Then she asked me if she could borrow Stella's outfit tomorrow. She is so cute - how does a 2 year old think to ask to borrow her cousins clothes?

This particular shopping day the girls started to get a bit unruly so Mimi opened up some powdered donuts and gave the entire bag to the girls. I'm pretty sure the staff of WalMart HATES to see us walk in.. the floor this day was a MESS. NO MORE Treats while shopping... unless Mimi gives in again!

The girls love and hate sharing the cart together. They laugh, hit and pull hair. But they would not have it any other way!

Mom - thanks for always taking us shopping and for being the best taxi cab in the valley!

{Pay it Forward}

1. Be one of the first THREE bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me (yeah for handmade!).

2. Winners must post this challenge on their own blog, meaning that you will pay it forward, creating a handmade gift -anything!- for the first THREE bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

3. The gift that you send to your 3 friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember it’s the spirit and the thought that count!

4. When you receive your gift, blog about it! If you are not one of the first three to comment on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same! It's all about paying it forward.

Update on Stell

... she is still puking everything up... The doctor told us she can not have anything but the BRAT diet for 5 days (Bananas, Rice Cereal, Applesauce and Toast). No MILK-- She is going to be devastated over that! Only sips of water and we need to pump her full of Pedilite/Gatorade. She is not a big fan of the Pedilite or Gatorade... does anyone have any other suggestions on waht to give my sick baby?

My Sick Baby...

Stella woke up at 3:30 this morning screaming her head off. It was not a normal cry so I ran to her rescue - I found her covered in throw up. It was terrible! I cleaned her up and rocked her for a while and came and put her in bed with Joe. I changed her sheets and then headed to the store to pick up some pedialite and popsicles and of course a new toy. Growing up my parents always gave us a toy anytime we were sick or went to the doctor - most kids got ice cream cones and we got toys. I love this tradition so I'm passing it on. I got her a new bath toy... a tug boat with an Elmo and Cookie Monster. She loves her bath - but it not quite as fun after she has just thrown up.. but somehow Cookie and Elmo make it better. I love my little munchkin and I feel so sad that she is sick. She has been laying on my arm all morning - throwing up every ninety minutes.. she can't keep anything down. Hopefully my hugs and kisses make her heart warm on this very sad day.

Good Advice

I taught Relief Society on Sunday - I hate to teach more than anything! My sister sent me this video and it went along perfect with my lesson. It is 7 minutes long but well worth the watch! Its very inspiring! Enjoy!

A Smathering of Pictures

Mimi took Stella to Gymboree... Look at her cute new outfit!!
Thanks Mimi, I love my new clothes!
Stella took a pen from my office while i was on the phone. Since i was on a work call I let her take it to keep her quiet. When i was off my call this is what i found...
A well decorated leg. I have a feeling our walls are in for a rude awakening in the years to come!
Stella's favorite thing in the entire world is brushing her teeth! If she passes the bathroom she starts saying "brush it, brush it, brush it" until i arm her with a toothbrush and watermelon toothpaste. She has about 10 toothbrushes and brushes her teeth at least five times a day.
This was one of my weekend projects. I made this darling bib with a special thanks to my super talented neighbor Danielle for sending me her pattern and step by step instructions. I will be making lots more of these cute little bibs! They are fast and easy!

Kati's Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for my friend Kati. We were worried that baby Emerson would arrive before the big day. But he was a good little boy and stayed inside his mamas belly while she graciously accepted some pretty amazing gifts!

How CUTE is the cake?! I was in love when i saw it! And it tasted delicious!

Opening the present from me and my mom! We made her the cutest blankets and gave her some darling outfits!

We had a great turnout!! I think there were about twenty people who showed up!
Now we are ready to meet Baby Emerson! Come out baby boy, come and meet us!

Spaghetti Face

Stella has a new love...
Its long and its saucy.
(No, its not her mama - she is tall and sassy, good guess though)
Its SPAGHETTI!

And tonight she ate so much I think she may turn in to it!

Her full belly is even hanging over the front of the buns covers.

The Toy Box

Stella LOVES to empty out her toy box and get inside of it.

Note the blue legs on the counter.. that is her activity table. It gets taken away on a nearly daily basis for two reasons. 1. She climbs up on it and balances in the middle of the room and nearly falls off every time. or 2. She picks it up by the sides and holds it against her belly straight in front of her and walks around.. she almost fell down the stairs once. She is going to give me a heart attack.

She will sit in there for the longest time and look at her pictures.

I can't believe how cute she is! Messy hair and all!

Feel the FIRE!!!

So I've decided its time that i start putting some effort into my coupon clipping. I really enjoy doing it, but it is a lot of work. After my shopping trip tonight I can Feel the FIRE!!! It is so addicting and when you get this great of deals how can you not LOVE it?!?
At my first store I was feeling a little discouraged. I was about to check out and i had four items on the checkout stand when my friend Natalie walked up. THANK GOODNESS SHE DID!! I told her how frustrated I was and that I was not catching on. Since she is the COUPON QUEEN she offered some words of advice and this is what I ended up with...

3 Boxes of Frosted Mini Wheats
2 Boxes of Corn Flakes
13 boxes of Instant Oatmeal
2 Large Canisters of Oatmeal
5 Boxes of Granola Bars
3 Boxes of Cereal Straws
... and all I paid was.....
$11.90
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??
I'm still soaking it all in!
I saved $134.27.
UNBELIEVABLE!!

Next up...
I got 5 bottles of Excedrin
(I gave one away to my sis that is why there are only four pictured)
and i paid a total of
$0.68
Seriously? This should not be legal!!

Last Stop I picked up the following
1 box of Granola Bars
1 Box of Peanut Butter Crunch
20 Boxes of Life Cereal
I paid 26.58
that ends up being 1.21 per item.
I saved 72.57
I was a little disappointed with this stop.
I was though I was going to be able to use $9 in coupons
but the checker would not let me.
one of us was obviously confused.
It was still a good deal so I ran with it.
So over all I spent less than $40 and saved over $220!
I LOVE my coupons!!
