Lost Generation

Sewing Project

My cousin Rex and his wife Mandy just had a baby girl.. Lily Kate. My mom and I (well mostly my mom) made her this adorable little gown and burp cloths. It was so cute its hard to give away - but we are so excited for Lily to enjoy it!
My friend Michelle made me this bag!! I was one of the winners of her Pay it Forward post and she delivered this to my house yesterday! I am so in love with it!! She is such an amazing crafter- I hope to be as good as she is one day!! Don't you just love the colors? and that button!!!
I am in the middle of a sewing project right now. Its also a purse to give to my sister who won my Pay it Forward. Loni and Amy.. you're projects will be next!

Seriously Dad?

Stella was not thrilled that dad put her in her baby stroller and pushed her around the house. Her face looked like this the entire time. She never cracked a smile. We were laughing so hard!

Popcorn

We have popcorn a few times a week. Joe was demonstrating to me how to listen for the popping sound. It shows a similar picture on the back of the box.... you got to make sure to have your hand cupped behind your ear to make sure not to miss a single popping sound.

Joe makes me laugh everyday... he's a shy guy at first but once he is comfortable he's full of all sorts of funnies!

Eye Doctor

Stella had her follow up eye doctors appointment for her clogged (well now unclogged) tear duct. Everything looks great. Her vision is great, she got to sit in a really cool chair.. and the best part for her was the Elmo sticker she got when we left!

Grocery Shopping

On Wednesdays my mom and Kaya come and pick Stella and me up to go grocery shopping.
Stella looks adorable in her pink stripes. Kaya kept telling Stella that she looked like a princess. Then she asked me if she could borrow Stella's outfit tomorrow. She is so cute - how does a 2 year old think to ask to borrow her cousins clothes?

This particular shopping day the girls started to get a bit unruly so Mimi opened up some powdered donuts and gave the entire bag to the girls. I'm pretty sure the staff of WalMart HATES to see us walk in.. the floor this day was a MESS. NO MORE Treats while shopping... unless Mimi gives in again!

The girls love and hate sharing the cart together. They laugh, hit and pull hair. But they would not have it any other way!

Mom - thanks for always taking us shopping and for being the best taxi cab in the valley!

{Pay it Forward}

1. Be one of the first THREE bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me (yeah for handmade!).

2. Winners must post this challenge on their own blog, meaning that you will pay it forward, creating a handmade gift -anything!- for the first THREE bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

3. The gift that you send to your 3 friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember it’s the spirit and the thought that count!

4. When you receive your gift, blog about it! If you are not one of the first three to comment on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same! It's all about paying it forward.

Update on Stell

... she is still puking everything up... The doctor told us she can not have anything but the BRAT diet for 5 days (Bananas, Rice Cereal, Applesauce and Toast). No MILK-- She is going to be devastated over that! Only sips of water and we need to pump her full of Pedilite/Gatorade. She is not a big fan of the Pedilite or Gatorade... does anyone have any other suggestions on waht to give my sick baby?

My Sick Baby...

Stella woke up at 3:30 this morning screaming her head off. It was not a normal cry so I ran to her rescue - I found her covered in throw up. It was terrible! I cleaned her up and rocked her for a while and came and put her in bed with Joe. I changed her sheets and then headed to the store to pick up some pedialite and popsicles and of course a new toy. Growing up my parents always gave us a toy anytime we were sick or went to the doctor - most kids got ice cream cones and we got toys. I love this tradition so I'm passing it on. I got her a new bath toy... a tug boat with an Elmo and Cookie Monster. She loves her bath - but it not quite as fun after she has just thrown up.. but somehow Cookie and Elmo make it better. I love my little munchkin and I feel so sad that she is sick. She has been laying on my arm all morning - throwing up every ninety minutes.. she can't keep anything down. Hopefully my hugs and kisses make her heart warm on this very sad day.

Good Advice

I taught Relief Society on Sunday - I hate to teach more than anything! My sister sent me this video and it went along perfect with my lesson. It is 7 minutes long but well worth the watch! Its very inspiring! Enjoy!
